Our new online quoting system has been up and running for almost a month now. Its going really well and has improved the sign up process for our customers.
We are proud to have joined Alice charity's fortunate 500 (www.alicecharity.com/fortunate-500). It has always been our goal to contribute to our local community and what better way to make our first step than supporting such a fantastic charity who help local families 'thrive rather than just survive'
We had a great meeting this morning at Titanic Brewery, We met some lovely people, we look forward to meeting you all again soon.
We are off to the ofgem independant suppliers forum in a few weeks. This is an event to promote competition in the energy industry.
23rd March 2015 Wow, we cant believe its been 2 months since we started to trade. We have been so busy. Of course we have had a few teething problems (all behind the scenes) that we have dealt with along the way but all is going well and we are grateful to all of our new customers. Next for us is becoming VAT registered so that we can negotiate a better price for electricity, we have been inspected by the surprisingly very nice and helpful VAT specialist investigation team and are now just waiting for our number. We promise to pass the savings on to all of our existing domestic customers and of course any new customers will see this reflected in the tariff they sign up to. We will continue to strive to make buying energy effortless.
15TH FEBRUARY 2015: We have now registered our first customers, the change over will take place on 25th February 2015 and they will be supplied by go effortless energy from that day. We have been overwhelmed by the support shown to us over the past few months and would like to say a big thank you to everyone involved.
19TH DECEMBER 2014: Go Effortless Energy are delighted to announce that we have now been granted approval by Elexon to start operating in the live market. This is the final approval that we needed to gain which means that we can now start to make the final preparations to participate in the market and we plan to start taking new customers from the 21st January 2015.
24TH OCTOBER 2014: Gemserv have now approved Effortless Energy Ltd to operate in the Live Market under a process called Controlled Market Entry. This process means that Gemserv will monitor Effortless Energy Ltd's activities during the period when we enter the market and begin to take on new customers in order to ensure that we are adhering to the business processes and systems that have been tested and approved. This is great news and a massive step forward in our efforts to bring our services to the market but it does't mean that we can start taking new customers today. We still have some more qualification work to do with Elexon to qualify to the Balancing and Settlements Code before we can finally start to offer our services to potential customers.
18TH APRIL 2014: We have been granted a Supplier License by OFGEM (the industry regulator) and are now working extremely hard to qualify to the relevant industry codes of conduct. We have also agreed to lease office space in Chatterley Whitfield Enterprise Centre which is located on the disused Chatterley Whitfield colliery site. We chose this site as it is at the heart of our local community and provides small businesses with office space on flexible terms.
